>> I still wish they wouldn't get all these tattoos.

Classic! I must have missed that.

That has to be the worst commentary I've heard in my life! Absolutely pathetic.. almost felt like changing it to Chinese commentary even though I don't understand a word.

I don't watch much NBL, but even I hated the commentators although I have no idea who they are or where they are from. They were hopeless and didn't match each other at all - my guess is they don't like each other.

Their "special comments" were pathetic - they made some off-hand comment about political leaders should have better things to do than watch sport.

1/10 - go back to the newsdesk you came from (I presume this is the case) and stick with reading the cue card.

Was it Andrew Sams? He seems to commentate all live sports on Hong Kong television despite not having a background in sport. Having a couple of pissed gweilos reporting from a bar would be far more entertaining, and possibly more informative, than the usual suspects TVB and ATV drag out.

At least they are as consistently bad. In the swimming:

"Oen the Dane" - Norwegian
"Sappforth from Germany" - British

Cycling:

"And a rider from USA coming through into fourth, not sure of her name" - it was the British rider, Cooke.

Its just endless, they get more wrong than right.

The bit at the end about how NBA has gotten worse in the last ten years was pretty funny. Something along the lines of 'no more teamwork, too much fist pumping and celebrating.'

What was that guys names again? Oh ya, Michael Jordan!

Can't really blame the announcers as they have to comment on every sport, but two guys in a bar would be much better. The Chinese broadcast was equally as entertaining with all the ooooohs and aaaaahs every time someone made a dunk.

I'm just waiting for one of them to pull out 'Bron Bron' like that hack newscaster on the local news.

Pretty funny how the US plays like absolute crap and still blows China away. Hope they bring a better effort against the Euro teams.
