Lunch Buffets

Anyone care to name their favourite places for Buffet Lunch in HK.

I have been to a few, but have to give top marks to:

Dickens Bar lunch buffet (Excelsoir Hotel).
Shangri La (Kowloon)

wasn't to impressed with the Mandarin or Renaissance Harbours selection.

anyone else care to share.

I also intend trying Tandoor's lunch buffet before I leave HK in 1 week .

Don't bother with the Tandoor -- still have to write the review.

Would recommend Bombay Dreams and Jashan for Indian food. The Conrad also falls under the list of recommendations for Indian buffets.

The Verandah at the Penninsula has a very decent dinner buffet.

Excelsior Hotel - Lounge for mixed, Camino's for Italian, and Tott's Grill (last one is good for fresh oysters). Island Shangri-la, Cafe Too.

Definitely don't agree with KIA. Tandoor's lunch buffet is great - you must try it. Way better than Jashan. Bombay Dreams and Viceroy are good too. Also, Shangri La's almost always wonderful!

Spices @ The Repulse Bay does a multinational curry buffet, unfortunately though no Japanese curry. The splendid double espresso alone is worth the trip

Shak,

The Tandoor buffet has always received good reviews, not sure what happened the other night at dinner ;-)

Different cooks!!!!!!!
In fact, one of my friend experienced the same. Once tempted by its lunch buffet, he revisited the place for dinner and since then he has vowed not to visit again....

Food was average to slightly above average, the service was BAD (and I'm being gentle!)

The Curry Pot on Lockhart Road, opposite Carnegie's, does a great lunch buffet. HK$78 or something but after a lassi and some tax it's a hundred bucks. Great samosas and Makhani though- it's 1.20 and I think I just decided where to go for lunch!
