I believe that there's only the SCAA in behind Causeway Bay. There are many others in Kowloon.

I must warn you though, if you plan on playing at the SCAA, they are very strict on the fun factor, meaning you won't have any fun at all!
First, you need at least one person to be a member of the SCAA, membership fee's only $100, which is not bad, but you can only have 3 guest with you at a time. They'll only give you 2 balls per membership, and your game is timed, 15minutes. If you finished your game at 16 minutes, they'll charge you for 2 games. We also learned that you cannot take any pictures in the SCAA premise. I don't know about you, but the SCAA is for people who are serious about bowling, so if you want a fun and relaxed time with friends, I would not recommend the SCAA.

what are some other bowling places in kolwoon that's closer to hk island? i don't want to go all the way to kolwoon bay or something.

Various private clubs (e.g., AMC, RHKYC) also have bowling facilities, but you would need to be a member (or know somebody who is).

I went with coworkers to Thunder Bowl in Hung Hom. Didn't seem that far from Quarry Bay.

No membership needed, and they also have pool and darts. They're open to midnight or 1 a.m.
