I went on a walk through, the place I was looking at (which apparently was the bottom price avail unit at 18k) was pretty nice, big enough space and the facilities seem to be quite good compaired to other places I visisted. It's a rather large apartment complex, something like six blocks. Which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. I think it has good bus access, but isn't exactly centrally located.. which .. I guess from my view would mean not in central ;-)

liked it here

I have lived in The Belcher's for more 15 months now.

I have chosen the place primarily because I have a family - lots of spaces for my daughter to play/bike; indoor/outdoor playgrounds. Air is relatively fresher. Two swiming pools at your disposal: outdoor and heated indoor, + gym/tennis/pingpong and putting areas. It has its own small mall and grocery, so convenient if I wan't to buy something in a hurry.

The place fits my budget at the time I signed the lease, which is much lower than the current rate. Island South may have more fresher air but it is too far for me. Central may be nearer but i don't want the pollution.

Units are actually bigger than most other flats I've seen in the area (Western/Kennedy Town). Workmanship on the structure is great - wide and well lit access areas (elevator banks/corridors). Security is tight, guards will ask for residence card if you look unfamiliar.

Indeed it is a little far from Central, so if you're single, better to be near the happening places.

cheers,
ubejam

My wife and I just moved into the Belcher's this week. So far we really like it. There is a nice recreation facility, restaurants, grocery store, etc. MTR isn't close, but it is easy to get a taxi, trolley or bus to get there. Let me know if you would like an extended tour of the grounds.

Where are you from?

I've been staying at the Belcher's for 2 years now. Recently, signed another lease for 2 more years even with an increase in rent. I really like this place. I would hate to move somewhere else in Central/Western.
