| Suggested Job Title Hi all, This is my first post in this forum, I've been reading it for a while, it's full of useful information. I will be moving to HK sometime nearer to the end of this year, to open a "satellite" or Sales/Support office for our company. I'll be the only staff member out there for at least the first 6 months to a year, basically running the office and the operation out there. I am fairly junior, so it won't be COO or anything similar. Currently I'm a "technical account manager" as I'm doing a bit of sales, support, etc. The question I have: can you suggest an appropriate job title? It may not seem that important, but I want to see what people have to say. (I'm hoping for a better suggestion than what the company is currently proposing). Many thanks. |

| "Country Manager"? All other things being equal, the better sounding the title the easier it will be to get an Employment Visa as well. |

| I'd suggest Regional Manager or Regional Business Development Manager. Country Manager has some implications which might not match your qualifications / experience.

| Thanks for the replies, Regional Manager is a good suggestion. |
