Hi!
I have a question about getting a visa in Hong Kong and by the looks of things people around here seem to know that type of thing...It's not actually for getting a visa for Hong Kong but a visa that will permit me to be in PR. I appreciate any help I get.

I'm american and come to china to learn chinese and teach english because I enjoy the life in China. It's my 4th time here, I primarily stay in Nanjing.

The thing is, I've yet to find a company I want to work with, and my touring visa will run out in just 20 days. I've heard roomer that I can fly into HK and obtain a visa within a day. Even heard that I might be able to obtain a temporary working visa without needing a company to request my presense. Does anyone know about this?

If I could even just get another 3 month touring visa by flying into HK that would be good....besides I've never been there and I'd like to check it out hehe,

btw does everyone speak Mandarin there too?

by PR, I assume you mean Peoples Republic of China ?

if so, any decent hotel concierge in Hong Kong can arrange a visa for you within a day, and since you have been before, you may actually be able to get a 6 or 12 month multiple entry visa.

Americans pay more (about double if I recall) for a China visa than most other nationals. But, if you need one...

It's sad that the Chinese are apparently being taught English by someone whose English is clearly not very good themselves, don't you think?
