Question IPHONE - Which Plan???

Hi All,

Thinking about getting the iphone 16gig. Im trying to figure out the pros and cons of the plans in HK...

Who has acutally used 500Meg in a month for DATA? Is it really necessesary to get the unlimited plan?

Any hidden traps or extra costs i should know about from users?

Thanks, any help, and personal experience with the iphone is greatly appreciated....

J.

Just got one and happy with it generally barring the following.

itunes is rubbish in the sense that it can't find the artwork for my albums and these aren't obscure albums anyway. Media Player is better and can find pretty much everything.

Three took 36 hrs to connect the phone due to 'being busy'.

Ultimately it depends on what you're going to use it for, If you're going to download apps direct from the phone then yes you will probably need unlimited but if synched via your computer on a regular basis then probably not.

Hidden costs and charges I'm not in a position to comment as I only got the phone on Monday lunchtime and got connected very late last night.

I do a lot of surfing on the web while I'm on the bus. So far <100MB in ten days. If you like youtube, get unlimited. If not, get the cheapest.

If in doubt - you have to buy one VAS-option, cost 15-30/month. For 28$ you get a "ceiling" option, i.e. if you exceed the 500MB you'll just be billed the 488 that month.

Ceiling option?

So i can choose that for an additional 28 a month and guarentees a mobile bill never exceeds $498? (excluding overseas charges i guess).

That is something to definately consider...

Easyplus Data Package is the name of the VAS. And it just is covering your data usage. If you exceed your 500/500 minutes (nothing I'd personally ever encounter ) you have to pay that too.
