www.jobsdb.com would have plenty of entry level jobs in that range.

Hi, Thanks again! I did sift thro JobsDB. But the range of compensation mentioned there (for same type of jobs) is so wide, like 15000 HKd to 35000 HKD. Also, I need to provide my "expected salary" to the firm where I am applying. So, can you plz. give me a ballpark estimate? Thanks Geek

It really depends on skill set. Regarding banking and telecom, every second Soft. Prog. has worked in that sector at some point of time in his/ her career coz thats the only thing in HK. :-). Frankly speaking, while it may improve your candidacy for job search, it doesnt give you any edge unless you have special expertise in some area.

True -- if you've got significant knowledge of web services in a websphere / bea type environment in Banking, your value would be more, when compared to someone who does, for example excel based modeling. If you can answer the question -- how long is a piece of string, you've got your salary range pinned down to the nearest 10K.
