Hamsap FC recruiting for Saturday Football League Over the past few months we've been gathering together a group of people to play casual football games every Sunday in Tung Chung (see the Soccer in Tung Chung thread: Soccer in Tung Chung ). But now we're joining a Saturday football league, a semi-competitive 11-a-side league with a season starting on August 23rd 2008 and running until April 2009. It's not super strict or competitive, but we're looking for a certain level of commitment (someone who can find the pitches and wear the right colour top). Our first games will be; Saturday August 23rd at 8am on the Boundary Street artificial grass pitch in Mong Kok. (Away game, wearing dark blue shirts.) Saturday August 30th at 11am on Happy Valley grass pitch no. 2. (Home game, wearing orange/red shirts.) As we're still running both Saturday 11-a-side league games and Sunday 7-a-side casual games together, we're not expecting our players to fully attend on both days, so essentially we're desperate to get some new players for the 11-a-side league! If you'd like to join, you're welcome! Get in touch with us, and check out our website which has more information and a message board; Hamsap FC - Hong Kong Football Group (Oh, and you'll need an orange or red shirt for home games and a blue shirt for away games.)

There are. But we're getting close to having full numbers (we had 26 turn up last Sunday which was a bit manic!), so if you want to join the league you need to come along soon and make sure you'll be able to make it to more than one game

Hi Are you still looking for players? Just moved to HK from the UK and looking for regular social/semi-competitive football - hopefully followed by a few beers...? Let me know and I can come along to your next casual game. Cheers

Everyone's welcome to turn up to our casual games (Sunday evenings usually). We basically have more than enough people for the Saturday morning league at the moment, but if people turn up to the casual games regularly and show enough interest, they'll probably get a chance to join in the league. Time and locations are on the website.
