Anywhere to buy US college textbooks in HK?
Hey everybody,

I am doing some courses at Penn State via internet and just got murdered with shipping costs ($350 US for the books, $200 US for shipping). Does anyone know if there's a place in HK, perhaps one of the colleges, that can get English language textbooks from US schools?

Any help would be very much appreciated. For example, I will gladly get you drunk at the next Geo night out.

Have you tried the Commercial Press? There are international versions (paperback) of textbooks available which are considerably cheaper (some of mine are a fifth of the hard cover price).

It's always good to check Amazon and eBay out too. I offloaded quite a few textbooks on both sites when I was in college. Might be cheaper to have the books sent to a relative's home in the US and then have 'em sent to HK by Parcel Post.

Check shopinhk.com and get a quote from them including home delivery.
