| Olympic Terrace (Serviced Apt) ? Hi everyone, Me and my sister and our families are going to visit Hong Kong for a month in December. We are looking at Olympic Terrace serviced apts and wondering if there is anyone of you staying there now and can give us some opinion on whether the neighborhood is safe. We have limited budget and need a 3-bedroom apt + 1-bedroom apt. Not many choices if we want a convenient location in Hong Kong. Thank you in advance for your input. |

| Olympic Terrace has a bad rep they are filthy, in a bad location, and the staff don't care. i did some homework on them, and had a few very bad reports, no positives. you have to walk thru back streets of sham shui po, from memory.. nowhere near Olympic station or Olympian City... bit of false avertising in the name there too.. if you want a monthly unit, you will find it hard to find one of decent price that has 3 bedrooms. one or 2 bedrooms would be easier, but also not cheap. some options would be HK Gold Coast, Royal View Hotel/Suites, Bay Bridge, Harbourview Horizons etc.. not sure if they're suitable, but Olympic Terrace would be last on the list, unless you cant find anything else in budget... | I just previewed their apartments. I would say it is one of the smallest apts I have seen. I would advice you to stay at Gold Coast Residence - roomy, clean, 3 different price ranges. The apt. building are right on the beach. A little far from city, but they do offer a shuttle buses (for fee) to nearest MTR, TST, Central and airport, another alternative - public bus or taxi. |

The Gold Coast residences PHASE2, are going to be about the cheapest 3 bedroom serviced apartments around, I think they start at around $22K per month ? thats about 50% of what anywhere in the city is going to be of the same floor space. Last edited by Skyhook; 02-08-2008 at 11:33 AM. |

| Thank you so much for your replies. I have asked my sister about her family's budget and have not gotten a reply yet. For my family, it is actually a bit more flexible. We hope to get a one-bedroom suite under HKD 24000 for 3 weeks in a convenient location. Looks like we have to ditch Olympic Terrace... |
