Lived in Hong Kong from 93-98 and will be moving back after 7 years in New York

Will my Hong kong ID still be valid or will I have to get a new one.

Transfered here with a bank and will be coming back to work in HK for another company...

Anyway, if anyone knows visa stuff it would be great

You would need a new visa and ID card if your ID card has the codes "CMOY"

The C code indicates that the visa and the ID card were conditional (usually on employment).

Having said that, its pretty easy to reenter on a new visa -- as long as you had paid your last tax bill when you left town.
