Coin counting machine

In the states, they have these machines at the supermarkets called "coin star" that lets you bring in a jar of change (or a bucket) and run it through the machine in exchange for paper money (with a slight surcharge).

Are there any machines like this around? I'm building up quite a large jar full of coins and was wondering if I can easily dump them in a machine and get some paper bills.

Ask your local HSBC branch if the head office still has them. In these days of anonymous service, I doubt it, they did have them 10 years ago when I needed my coin jar emptied.
