i have geckos

i seem to have had almost everything else, and now i have geckos!

I had one that used to knock stuff about while i was out, and it found a home in an empty sprite bottle by the window. i ended up capping the bottle and throwing it out (removing the cap of course).

It's been several weeks and i'm assuming he's back, because it ran down the wall last weekend, saw me and ran back up.

I have no idea where it is, or how it got in, or why it/they keep coming back.

Further more, i went to adjust the aircon tonight and saw a mini stitch on the wall.

so there's a baby and a parent running around my room.

They freak me out, mainly because they move so fast and dont make any noise - frikkin ninjas!
but i just dont like things in my room that dont pay rent. How do i stop them from coming in?

I'm currently sleeping in a hoodie, with the hood up, and wrapped tight in a double duvet. and it gets very very warm.

I wouldnt mind as much, but i have flies too and the geckos arent doing their job!

I had one in my village house when I lived in Sai Kung. I was told just to leave it because the Chinese consider it good luck. It just disappeared a little while later.
I think they're cute!

Geckos are a protected species in Hong Kong. Leave them alone.

Yup just leave them be they're harmless.
Nothing to worry about and no need to sleep in a hoodie etc as they'll leave you well alone.

Imagine waking up with one sitting on one of your eyelids. :P

I leave them alone too. Haven't seen any this year. Last year, I opened a drawer in the kitchen and a 5-6" one shot out and ran under the fridge. It had a beautiful pattern on its back.

Just leave them alone, they eat small insects around you house. They are good for your house.
