First a premier account and then the relationship manager helped me with the businessvantage account. she actually came to the other meeting and helped me through it. I do have to point out that in my opinion a lot depends on the quality of your relationshipmanager. It seems that HSBC has many strange little rules (read : paperwork), and to navigate through it you need a capable person assisting you. Mine is great so it goes quite smoothly. With someone less capable i would suspect trouble. |

| thanks FilipH, hope you were not bothered with these questions. Movingin07, im asking all these questions because its better to ask now then to come whine later and say "hsbc sucks". maybe you think its impolite to ask if the hsbc atm card has an expiration date |

| I think you do need to recognise that people spend their own time answering your questions and that you can actually find out all of this information by ringing up HSBC. So while I (and others) are happy to help, when you ask the same question again and again and 'just to be sure' again it can be a little wearing. |

Or if the whole security device is such an issue to you then just go to standard chartered or citibank |

| Don't Citibank do something similar but with one-time passwords sent to you by SMS? |

| standard chartered or citibank don't have international wire transfer as an option in their online banking |

| That is incorrect: Citi definitely has it, using either an Online Authorization Code (as mentioned by PDLM) or confirmation over the phone (Citi will call you). |

| i don't want citi to call me everytime i initiate a wire transfer. citi doesn't have the option to put the iban or the sort code if the transfer is in europe, hsbc has that. hsbc wire is a lot faster, you can even pay a fee and make an instant online wire |
