| Working as a waitress in a bar Hi all! I'm going to HK for the summer (Late May till mid August). I would like to get a job while I'm there. I'm interested in working at a bar in Lan Kwai or Wanchai. Actually my top choice would be "The Groovy Mule." I've been there and I loved it. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the chances of getting a job at a bar in HK? And whether I should try to secure a job before I go there or show up at the bars I want to work at while I'm there. By the way, I have a HKID so I don't have a problem with permit or anything. I also understand simple chinese. And I don't have any experience when it comes to being a waitress. Thanks! |

| Hardly likely that people will hold jobs for you while you're overseas. Best bets are to hit the bars when you're here in HK and find something that works out. Bar managers are always looking for good help that they can rely on and promote up the food chain. |
