Calling all Walkers

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to organise some weekend walks - nothing too crazy but between 2-5 hrs (unless there's some diehards out there who wanna do more...)

Give me a shout (PM or reply to thread) if you're interested!

FYi there are a couple of other people who organise walks too:
Hong Kong Hiking Meetup Group (Hong Kong) - Meetup.com is the meetup group - various levels of walks, great mix of people (this is my favourite);
The Hong Kong Trampers - Home - the hong kong trampers - a bunch of maniacs who don't wait for slow people - not recommended for anyone other than elite walkers!
groups.yahoo.com/group/SaturdayHikers/ the saturday hikers - never actually been on one of theirs but hope to try some day.

If you get something going I would be interested but if you don't get a response you can always join one of the above.

Did anyone else misread "walkers" as wankers?

What's scary is that I still clicked on it...

Hi MovingIn07,

Thanks for the info - have signed up with meetup.com. Are you going on Sat?

And octarine - that is scary!

Yes - I am going on Sat. Looking forward to it! They are a nice bunch at meetup. Keen but friendly. And they know all the "out of the way" places to hike too (plus a bit of getting lost!) which makes it interesting.

Is it a bunch of girls or something? Do they need someone who can read maps? (Cub Scout certified 1971)

The last walk involved bashing our way up a hill on a track that you would not have known existed if you stood 3 feet from it.... a little navigational difficulty was not that hard to imagine! They are fine on trails that are actually MARKED on maps.....
