Smile HOW TO CHANGE "NOW TV" CHANNELS AUTOMATICALLY

Hi guys,

I have a huge problem. I got a DVD recorder and I really want to record some of my favorite shows which goes on "Now TV" channels. my issue is that when I am not at home, I can only record shows from one particular channel as I cannot change my channels on the "Now TV" Decoder box to record from different channels! I even tried to look for something like a Universal Remote with Timer control to change the "NOW TV" channels based on the program time, but no luck

Do you guys have a solution for this? Do you guys know of any Gizmo using which I can change channels on the NOW decoder box and record my favorite programs when I am not around? Please let me know if you guys know something! take care.........

Me too!

I would be interested in finding out how to do this. I bought a DVD recorder last year and have to change channels manually on the NOW TV set box to do any recording.

The only exception to this are the "Air" channels (non cable channels). If anyone has a solution to this, please let us know.

There is no way around changing the channels on the NOW set-top box (except maybe for having multiple NOW boxes, haha), it is inherent in the technology.

Like KIA, I would like to understand why the timed programmable remote control did not work.
Another solution (in principle the same asthe universal remote control) could be a Slingbox like set-up, of remote-controlling the NOW box.

universal remote controler is to do the all in one job. There is a different type remotes with something called "time macro" feature. But the latest ones do not have this. Even if they are available, it's almost impossible to find one in hong kong. I think there might be gadgets for these things. But my issue is explaining it in cantonese to the sales guy in mongkok! I hope u guys understand!!

myshaafi - look for them on ebay. From a little bit of searching ... I found an older unit of the Philips Pronto (forget the model number) which has a timer function.
