My internet has been like a snail all day ...eventually it gave up altogether and NOW TV failed too.... so I ring up the helpline and while I am in a queue for a technician it all came back and (fingers crossed) seems fine now.

Anyone else having the same problems or any ideas what causes this? Given that there are no thunderstorms going on etc etc and my phone was still working (albeit crackly).

Could have been someone working on the cabling in your building, installing someone else perhaps, who knocked a connection loose.

mines been off almost 7 hours now! I have 2 lines and the other is ok. Wierd eh.

I have the same problem with NOW tv and the internet(pccw), sometimes they freeze at the same time and a few minutes later, they work again....at times the cable network doesn't work for a few hours...

ok - sounds familiar. My husband reckoned they were just "working on the line" or something and that it came back around 5pm because they finished and went home!
