| Define "best". Most attractive packaging? Best (highest) price? It definitely won't be "best taste", as all of the ones available here are quite rank. Take a trip to Jiangsu for a tasty one. |

| Depends on your budget yes but you can't go too far wrong with mooncakes from maxims. |

OK, when we're back to the planet earth HKG, Jimbo's suggestion to Maxims is pretty spot on. Tai Pan mainly makes new style mooncakes (with ice-cream and all sorta untraditional fillings...you know.) Some good old brands are Wing Wah and Kee Wah. Of course, many other Chinese restaurants & bakeries make good moon cakes too. But if you're not that adventurous, the above are the safe options.
