| | | I was going to order a few for sale through GeoBaby.Com's shopping store, but we opted out.
1) Its a loss leader item i.e. stores are taking a loss on it, to increase their customer base.
2) The legalese was a bit too much, specially penalities about leakage etc.
I'll buy it the next time I'm on a flight and its on sale.

| | | I advance ordered it from Page1 and got a 30% discount. The list price was HK$195 and after discount it was about 135 or so. We get to pick up our copy today.
Unfortunately its hardbound. While first edition hardbounds are great to keep and all the rest of it, its very cumbersome to read while in bed... ah well.

| | ahhhh but add on the flight costs...
anyhow I wont be going to India in a hurry.
Anyway, I didnt get it before 12, but I do have it now and I'm not going to do anything but read this weekend. Makes a wonderful change from rushing all over the place.
Happy to pay the artist/creator for their work. They deserve it. Esp. HP, its quite reasonably priced. I paid 135 odd, compared with maybe about 200-400 for a Grisham or otber bestseller?? I was quite surprised at how reasonable it was actually.
Cheers

| | | Article twenty three Actually shri I wanted to get a rise out some of out potty fans, with my HP download. Of Course there was no such thing- what I had got was a bit of fan fiction. My potty pals did want to print it out till they read a bit of it. The reason J R has more moolah then QEll is precisely that, she can write Potter others can only imitate
the preface to my "Phoenix' is pretty clear as to what it is

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
Important:
This is NOT the real Fifth Book. This is my own version of the Fifth Book which I wrote approximately a year and a half before the real Fifth Book came out. If you have already read the real Fifth Book, then you can still enjoy this one as simply an alternate version. Again, this is NOT the real Fifth Book and I am NOT JK Rowling.
Summary:
In his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter discovers that he, among others, are part of an ancient "Order of the Phoenix". He also realizes that being in this Order gives him the privelege of a very special gift... the gift of life. With Animagus lessons, Quidditch matches, Cho Chang, mysterious notes, and Voldemort breathing down Harry's neck, will he survive to his sixteenth birthday?
Extra Info:
This story is more than 300 pages long in Microsoft Word, and when it is proportioned to the normal Harry Potter book size, it is longer than The Chamber of Secrets, and just a little shorter than The Prisoner of Azkaban.
If you want to read it chapter by chapter, click on one of them. If you click on .doc, you will download the chapter to your hard drive. If you click on .html, you will be taken to that chapter in your web browser. (Note: The .html versions are not formatted, and may be a little awkward to read):
