| | | Olympic stray cat cull I found this February 08 news article by accident today, as I was perusing The Times Online web site. It states that an estimated 200,000 stray cats, possibly more, will be "dealt with, " before the Olympic Games opening ceremony . I don't know about you, but this just seems wrong on a massive scale to me, what is wrong with the Beijing govt at the moment ?

| | | From the same government that culls dogs. Hardly surprising.
Maybe food is expected to be in short supply?

| | | I have personally seen a dog skinned for what I assume was going to be dinner. Either that or the guy has a cruel streak a mile long.
Actually I think I read where Beijing has asked for dog and cat to be taken off the menus, lest it offend.

| | | I think some people here need to be educated on the beef and chicken industries in the West! We are just as bad, but only we hide it (out of sight = out of mind). | |

| | | stray cats or pets? and HOW are they being culled/killed? after working at the SPCA in south africa I have no issues with a widespread cull as long as humane methods are used. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 03:33 PM. | |
