If you come here for work but are not based here then of course you would not be entitled to a HKID. How do you enter HK? And where are you based?

| | | Jeez .. give it a break.
Get a credit card in your home country and use it here.
You're not a resident, you do not have a work visa -- and you expect a bank to give you credit?
The best you might be able to do is deposit a chunk of money in a debit card account.

| | | Hi Know !
Yes I have my 2 account in Hoingkong With HSBC and Standered chartered Bank. And there I maintain a balance which is quite big amount, and thats the reaso of my expectation from them.
I even asked them to issue a Card even debit also againest of my time deposit with them. But after that also they are saying must need Hongkong ID.
The reason of my post hear regarding credit card is just to know from any one of you the name of the financial institute who can issue a card againest of time deposit .
If you know any company who can issue a card / debit credit againest of security deposit please advice me.
