What to do with my Mum?

Now, before anyone gets the wrong idea, my Mum's a nice lady, so I'm looking for ideas for good things to do when she visits at end of this month, and again in April.

She's not a great walker, but likes outdoorsy stuff inc plants, scenery. Been in HK three times, so done several of the standard things, much as I've just posted in related thread on what a family might do here during first visit. Been to Stanley, Big Buddha/Cheung Sha, Peak, Cheung Chau (enjoying staying in hotel here), various parts of city; taken tiffin in the Peninsula.

I've thought of Kadoorie Farm as "new" place. May even try Mai Po.

Ideas appreciated. Wonder about that fairly new nunnery with old style architecture.

Red face

Let's take out Kadoorie Farm for easy walker! (as most great view require steep walking to top of Kwun Yam Shan, 546m) Yeah, try the Nunnery at Diamond Hill!

Hong Kong Park, Mai Po Marsh...how about get your mum an amateur lepidopterist (person on butterflys). Why not contact this organisation below on whereabouts of butterflys? (mostly on Lantau)

www.hkls.org - Hong Kong Lepidopterists' Society

And if she not horrified by monkeys - go to Kam Shan Country Park on Tai Po Road (on the way to Sha Tin by riding KMB bus 72, 81 or 86B)...without plastic bags. Those racals think they are foods from PnShop or Welcomes!

hope my ridiculous ideas help.

butterflies

ta for the ideas, insert5 - butterflies a nice idea
i'm not a fan of the macaques, but we'll see

with kadoorie, can see animals n birds low down (yes, caged, but leopard cats and so on nice, and the crafty croc's still there, not sure when she'll be back in outdoors pen); and there's now a shuttle bus to the top, which could make things ok - provided don't miss the shuttle going down!
