I am a Business Management graduate who is currently working for Shell in London, but i Am looking to immigrate to HK. I started with Shell straight out of university two years ago as Account Analyst but after a year I was promoted to a more senior role within the company and I now manage a small team of Accounts Analysts.

Does anyone have any advice on job opportunities in HK for my level of experience? I am planning on going back to HK in around a month’s time to speak to a number of recruitment consultants, any recommendations? Will the fact that I don’t have a financial based job hinder my opportunities?

Do you either:
a) have the right to work in Hong Kong, or
b) speak Cantonese or Mandarin?

If no to both then you're going to be struggling as a graduate with only a couple of years experience unless there is something very specific and difficult to find about what an "Accounts Analyst" does (I have no idea what that is).

Does Shell have any of them in Hong Kong? If so then your best bet by far would be to try to get an internal transfer.

Don't go to Hong Kong, I suggest. You will be disappointed. Are you an accountant?
