What would be a good way to expose your website?

Hey Everyone.

As part of the School IB programme (CAS) I had a go at making a website which is a directory of activities which you can take part in Hong Kong. My Aim was basically to help fellow IB students to find activities in order to fulfill their CAS as well.

I've decided however to take it a step further by making it available to anyone in HK. My question is whether you know of any good and relatively cheap methods to expose a website. I've already emailed various schools and submitted on google (SEO) which would hopefully lead to good results.

You're on the right path -SEO is the way to get the message out. Just don't stop at google, there's lots of search engines. Make sure your metatags are well thought out. Check out NamePros.Com - Buy, Sell, & Discuss Domain Names and DNForum - Domain Sales, Domain Forum, Domain Appraisals, Domain Registrars to get good SEO tips. Also you might put extra content on your site like a blog or articles - search engines like sites that are more than just lists.
good luck

As long as you do it thru the postoffice... its called a bulk drop, however since your target audience is fellow IB students, that means only 1 in 100,000 might actually be interested in your message. Kind of expensive advertising.

Bulk drops

Do you mean you can pay the post office and they will deliver a leaflet to each household?

Can you target a specific area? I would be interested to know a bit more about this.

yep, not only can you target a specific area, but a specific building.

if i remember correctly it's something like $.9 per piece...there is a minimum, but i can't remember what it is... something like 2000 pieces.
you can just call the GPO to find out.
