Sunday driving

Anyone interested in driving on Sunday morning to explore the country side of HK or maybe go to Tung Chung for a look?

Why drive? Go and explore it properly on the buses!

Coz I enjoy driving. taking a bus is not bad. but driving is also relaxing if going to somewhere less crowded. The bad thing in HK is everywhere are traffic light which make driving to work so boring. Sunday is a good chance to explore other parts of Hong Kong and enjoy the sun.

Oh well - good luck then! I have never seen any bits of HK that looked enjoyable to drive (and we have caught buses/taxis all over the place to go hiking) - the concept of the "open road" is somewhat lacking in a place this small! Now if you can take your car over to China... well, that sounds like fun.

Heard China's traffic was horrible. Not dare to drive there.

If you have been limited to buses and taxies, of course you haven't seen any enjoyable places to drive.

There are small, quiet and interesting roads all over the New Territories. They won't be the kind of roads that you can cruise along at high speed on, but they will lead to interesting, out of the way places nonetheless.

I've always done it via bicycle so I don't know the big connector roads.

There is no 'route' as such, just get out there and drive around. The area NW of Plover Cove is fairly interesting.
