Dependent Visa

Hi guys,

Went to immigration to apply for a visa extension. For anyone who hasn't done it yet I strongly suggest booking an appointment in advance and not try to grab a slot on the day

The immigration officer was pretty nice and the whole thing straight forward. When filling in the form, you can use "As long as possible" for the amount of time you would like your visa extended

Anyway, we had to wait 20 minutes for the visa to be checked out. He then called us back and gave me a sheet of paper saying to come back on the 23rd of July with my passport and $160 for the fee.

Now does this mean the visa has been approved and I just have to pick it up? Or is it still being processed?

Thanks in advance

sounds like it's approved...as long as your personal sit. hasn't drastically changed (eg divorce, separation) an extension is usually pretty straight forward...and if they're asking for payment, i'd assume it's a done deal
