Can anyone recommend a good site with info about housing costs in Tung Chung, all I've been able to find is an area with only high rises and do to a bad experience in an elevator, I just can't live in one - I've seen some good sites for Discovery Bay, which looks like a lovely area, but a little more difficult to access other areas from...also, I'm gathering through all my reading that pollution is a major problem in HK, but can anyone suggest somewhere that is better or worse than other areas? I've heard Clearwater Bay mentioned...any recommendations? Thank you!

Chinese factory related pollution affects hong kong pretty evenly.

What helps is living in an area where there is enough open space to keep the air circulating and less traffic related pollution.

If you can't use elevators and you really worried about high rises and pollution its best you dont come to Hong Kong.

Even in tung chung most places are high rise (although i have not been in hong kong for 3 years hope to be back in about 4 weeks to live)

but it is almost impossible not to be going in and out of high rises on a regular basis in Hong Kong

Agreed - it is essentially impossible to have a reasonable lifestyle in HK if you can't use elevators. You really need either psychiatric treatment to fix the problem or plan to go somewhere else.
