Bands we'd like to see in Hong Kong

Since we finally seem to have some music promoters who are trying to bring decent bands to Hong Kong, and in the hope that they might read these forums, let's have a thread suggesting bands that we would be prepared to pay (a significant amount of money - let's say HK$500+) to see in Hong Kong.

As an aside, I'd pay $500+ to see these bands in big venues (HKCEC, Asiaworld Expo), but I'd pay at least $1000-$1500 to see them in a decent small venue (Grappa's Cellar, say).

To be realistic let's limit this to bands that are currently (or recently) touring - much as I would like to see Led Zeppelin here I know it isn't going to happen.

(Pollstar -- The Concert Hotwire is a good source to find out who is active)

So I'll start (and show my age) by suggesting:

Mark Knopfler (currently on tour in Europe and the US doing the Dire Straits stuff)

Tony Joe White

ZZ Top

Robert Cray

Randy Newman

Roger Waters (because I stupidly missed him when he was here )

Buddy Guy

Gary Moore

Bonnie Raitt

Chris Rea (although he isn't touring at the moment)

Thoughts?

Very easy to figure out the average age of the person answering this sort of survey....

daniel and hayley

I assume your from a " simon fuller / Stock' aker and waterman" eg, very manufactured school of thoughts is more your music liking, so any one who has a hit that is number one with 3/4/5 talent less rejects from x factor, pop idol etc. is you cuppa of tea?

fortunately, I listen to proper artistic music ( indie, alternative, experimental dance and comtempory classical) where the artists write and compose their own material, obviously these will stand the test of time, unlike, the manufactured stuff which you listen.
