The Presets, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Keane, Eminem, Mika come to mind at the moment.

Before coming over, in the space of one year in Oz, I saw Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, U2, Split Enz, Bic Runga and almost the Strokes and Kanye. Previously already seen Radiohead, Massive Attack and The Cure..

I thought there would be a dearth of concerts in HK, but it hasn't been as bad as I expected. So far I have seen in HK: Bjork, Jimmy Barnes, You say Party.. and Clockenflap festival…and local bands. Would have liked to have seen the Police and Gwen Stefani also..

Am toying with the idea of seeing Alicia Keys here on July 29. I've got my money on Coldplay coming here and a big tour given they've just realised their new album..

My main gripe is why are concerts always on during the week here?

Really really really wanna see the Presets

My choices would be, and in no particular order:

Justin Timberlake - missed him in Sydney
Gwen Stefani
The Killers
Powderfinger
Pete Murray (small venue)
Robbie Williams (great live)

Not bands, but I'd like to see:

Jeru The Damaja
Immortal Technique
Nas
Jay-Z
Slick Rick
Fabolous
Beres Hammond
Buju Banton
Red Rat
Tanya Stephens
Steel Pulse

I doubt I'll ever get the chance to see any of 'em here, except for Jeru

Saw Patti Smith in NYC 3 years ago. She was absolutely amazing live. I would also add Dire Straits on my list.

jimbob70 is on a distinguished road
bands

I find the big venues have no atmosphere.

They book them into these big halls where seating is segregated so no one can mingle or get close.

You can't take any beer in.

The Rockits were better but they not on these days...

In the land of OZ, I saw The National, Modest Mouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Oasis, Sefjan Stevens, Bjork and Arctic Monkeys from what I can remember. Death Cab for Cutie are playing soon and I'm so pissed that I'm missing out... I couldn't go last time because I was in China as well... hope they come here. The Presets would be awesome. Any good sites to go to see who is coming to HK in the future?
