fortunately, I listen to proper artistic music ( indie, alternative, experimental dance and comtempory classical) where the artists write and compose their own material, obviously these will stand the test of time, unlike, the manufactured stuff which you listen.

my band listing was a joke by the way! I am from the school of thought that if like the sound of something then i'l listen to it, whoever it is. I always enjoy winding up 'indie fans' though, always so protective of their favourite bands!

Keane
Coldplay
Lazlo Bane
Men at work
Chage and Aska (Jap)
Larc En Ciel (Jap)
LMF - Lazy Mutha Fucka(HK) They disbanded, but I really like some of their songs and hope to see them again.

I know some of the groups I listed don't produce songs in English, but this is HK! We are an international city (as the hk gov said).

No one mentioned Bon Jovi? I just attended a concert of theirs in the Middle East and it was wild! One of the best concerts i've ever been to.

U2 would seriously kick ass!
