But seriously, it depends what you are looking for. The FCC is basically a couple of bars (one with live jazz/blues some nights and a pool table), a couple of restaurants, and a small but reasonably well-equipped health club. Children are only allowed in at weekends and only then in certain areas of the club (and allowing them at all is a recent change which there are attempts to overturn).
The food and most of the drinks are very good value (house spirits $21-24 with free mixers, all the time; house wine $24-35 / 150ml glass) so if you use it regularly you get you save your monthly subscription easily when compared to eating out elsewhere.
If you or your husband are in the media then it is a good place to be a member simply because of the networking with other people of the press and because of the media events that are held there.
But if you want a club where you can go with your baby and hang out with other mums then this is definitely not the place.
