| Work Permit Opinion Hi There Guys
Just a couple of questions about work permits and my validity for employment.
I have been offered a senior executive role in the Hong Kong offices of a Multinational company. They are currently going through the process of applying for my work visa and have requested the following items:
1. Passport
2. Academic qualifications and experience relevant to post
3. Resume, testimonial and reference letters
My questions for the above are as follows. With legal documents such as the passport do the copies have to be verified and signed by a Justice of the Peace or an attorney? Does this also apply for my degree? Do I need to provide a 1 pager as to why I am eligible for this role as opposed to a local?
The second part of my question was that I was hoping someone would be able to provide me with some insight as to whether my application has a high chance of success? Looking at the other threads on this forum I would say that this was the case given my bacground, but was hoping that I might be able to get some pointers to help sharpen my application. Details are as follows:
1. Role is a senior executive position specifically pertaining to the China/Hong Kong markets targeting/servicing MNC IT companies.
2. Over 12 years experience in Marketing of which I have over 7 years in IT marketing (Australia and New Zealand experience)
3. I have both an undergrad degree in Accounting and Marketing, as well as a Masters of International Marketing (Asia Pacific focus).
4. I am an Australian with Chinese heritage.
5. English is a first language, I do not speak Cantonese and am currently learning Mandarin. I can also understand and speak a regional SE Asian dialect.
6. Salary $'s is well above the HK$20,000 per month I have seen stipulated in previous forum threads.
7. The company has been in the APAC region for over 10 years and includes amongst its clientele some major Hong Kong Corporations as well as MNCs. They also employ several locals in lower level positions. but the senior executive is primarily made of ex pats.
8. The company has sponsored work permits in the past and have found it to be a relatively painless exercise. (I believe this was for pretty much their senior exec positions)
Anyone wanting to express an opinion would be most appreciated
