HK - shenzen- beijing is L visa enough?

Hi!
I have an official L single entry visa for 30 days, I'm in HK and I'm going to Shenzen next friday to take a plane to Beijing, then I'm going to Kunming and I'm flying back from there to Shenzen and from Shenzen back to HK.
Is my single entry visa enough?
Pls help, I'm really confused!
Thanks
S

How could that possibly be more than a single entry? At what point do you think you might be exiting mainland China?

Assuming that it is a full China visa (not one restricted to the Shenzhen Economic Zone) then it is all you need.

You'll be fine. If you are not leaving China, you can stay for the duration of the visa.

I suspect the concern is that Shenzhen is 'special'. I was going to go to China this weekend but the fiasco over visas put me off ... does anyone know if they are really enforcing the plane ticket stuff? we had planned to bus to shenzhen then catch a plane and I didnt know if this info would be sufficient ... were not planning to book hotels in advance!

moving - you can get single or double entry 30 day visas at certain agents with just your passport n hkid. around $500 on top of visa cost. other benefit, no queueing.

that's useful to know - thanks - but I wonder why? do they book some cheap tickets in my name and then cancel them perhaps? (I could do that....!!!) But the lack of queuing would be worth it. Can they still get them fast?

I got an L visa last week based on a non confirmed hotel booking and 2 train tickets (one Hung Hum to Guangzhou and Guangzhou back to Hong Hum) although I took the KCR to Shenzhen from Hong Kong. So you definitly don't need plane tickets.

About the Shenzhen border : I pass there every week and I have in the past 2 years never been stopped when I'm in a normal car. Once they did a visa check when i took the free Furniture fair buss from Guangzhou to Shenzhen.

If you take the trip from Guangzhou to Shenzhen, they never ask or check the visa.

That being said : make sure you are legally in order of course. Just trying to say that once you are legally in, they don't verify visa's to much.

You mean you drive from HK into China without stopping? Wow. So much for security concerns! Just goes to show how silly this all is.

nono, i mean the SEZ Shenzhen border. Not the border with Hong Kong of course.

People who travel within China, that want to go to Shenzhen are passing this border. If you come from Guangzhou to shenzhen with a bus for example. Or if you want to go from Shenzhen to Dongguang then there is an actual border with a possible Visa and passport inspection.

Sorry if it caused confusion
