I'd like to take a vacation with my girlfriend, who is a Chinese citizen from Shanghai. What options do we have, without running into visa hassles (ie, her having to join a tour group or going back to Shanghai to apply for a visa)? I've heard that Thailand, Cambodia & Malaysia are easy, but I was rather hoping to get out of the region.

where exactly do u want to go, after you have figured it out, then just go to the consulate of that country and get a visa for her.
