| Power converter for digital piano I have a Digital Piano that says the following on the back: 117V~ 50/60Hz 57W The manufacturer told me I should ship it to HK and buy a power converter. But I've read the threads on this topic, and am not sure if that is a good idea or not. I understand it's NOT a good idea to bring rice cookers, and hairdryers, etc. It's best just to buy new things in HK. But a digital piano seems to be a bit more pricey. Any advice appreciated! Thanks, Anchor |

| You should easily be able to find a converter for that sort of device in HK.

| just fyr, digital pianos (e.g. yamaha clavinovas) are much cheaper in hk than they are in the states / europe. i would say around 40% lower. |

| all you need is a step down transformer that can Handle about 100W & their very common in places like Sham Shui Po. it is OK to step up/ down transformers for low power items but for those stuff that are 300W over & that have motors & heating element it would not be adviceable. |
