Doy daycare in Discovery Bay

Does anyone know of a dog day care in Discovery Bay? The only one I heard is Db Dayz, but they moved to Sai Kung. Despite I hear good things about it, I find the charges for the initial meet & greet quite expensive for both of my dogs, esp. I require transportation.

Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

hi sue sue,
My husband is Andrew from DB Dog Dayz. I'm sorry that you find our transportation charges to be high. We actually don't make any money from it at all, the cost of petrol and tunnels takes everything.

However, if you are still interested in coming for a visit, we can order you a "hire van". It costs less than a taxi and for a round trip to Central would be about $400-500.

Please do not hesitate to contact Andrew if you are interested.
Thank you,
Cara
PS> If you are looking for something for the summer, I would suggest sorting it out very soon. Summer is very busy for all kennels/boarding facilities and you may have trouble finding a place to suit you and your dogs if you leave it too late. Good luck!

Hi there,

Sorry if in anyway I offended you & your husband's business. Was not intended. Since we just moved here, we are trying to budget our more carefully our expenses for ourselves and the two dogs. Things can get pretty expensive with them esp. they are used to daycares while we were in North America.

Thanks for offering help. I will PM you for any questions..

Sue Sue, not to worry. No offence was taken at all. We hated to set the prices at the current rate, but with the price of gas increasing so rapidly, we had no choice.

You might be better off hiring a domestic helper to watch your dogs while you are at work. You will also get cooking & cleaning thrown into the bargain!

Good luck!

We do have a helper actually. She just arrived yesterday and have no previous experience, except for local Philippines domestic work which is rather different.

She has to take sometime off for HKID application and we just arrived last week. My dogs are still trying to adjust to the environment. House is in a mess and we dont feel safe to leave the dogs where there is clutter, boxes and all everywhere. Flying from Canada is really daunting them and havign to leave them in strange place for all day makes it even worse... Sigh, I wish you guys hadn't moved yet!
