Bringing dog food from US in luggage, wil it be a problem? We plan on bringing a couple 20lbs bags of dry dog food in our checked luggage. Do you think we will have problems going thru customs?

None what so ever ... just last week I brought back some fresh lobsters and calms from the USA so dog food should be no problem.

He eats prescription food called Royal Canin IVD Potato & Venison. When I visited HK, I checked w/a vet that carried Royal Canin & he didn't have that kind. But I think he didn't really understand me. We're bringing over 2 large bags so tat should be enough to transition him to a new food (mixing it). My vet recommended prescription Hills w/1 protein & 1 carbohydrate source.

Our Vet, Valley Vet in happy valley stocks royal canin and so do lots of other vets in Hong Kong. Maybe they'll have your type.
