restaurant coupon question A while back i was eating Indian food at a restaurant in Wanchai with an Indian guy.
I managed to get a 20% discount coupons for this restaurant. The coupon clearly stated that "Discount coupons must be presented BEFORE ordering food otherwise invalid". I was curious as to why I had to present the coupon before i ordered the food instead of presenting it before the bill (like many other coupons or membership cards).
The Indian guy reasoned that they do this to give the coupon patrons "old food", i wasn't completely convinced but it did make me a bit nervous.
If anyone who works in the restaurant industry has any ideas regarding this issue i would like to know your input.
