Hi everyone, First of all wanna say thanks and any of your info / opinion would be real apppreciated. Here's my problem : I live in NT & work in Tai Wai. Earlier I tried to find if there was any nice gym around yet no luck so far. Tried to check out the PHYSICAL in shatin yet it was But my problem is - As i gotta practise swimming 3 nights per week after work, which means only 2 nights could be spent for the gym. Feel like kinda waste to join a membership... is there either a gym accepts per visit charged or the membership fee is kinda reasonable? Thanks all of you again. Himari

some housing estates have a gym that is PPU, pay per use, but if you don't have access to one you can ask a friend to sponsor you. HTH

To mengfei, tks for ur advice yet I think I will not prefer that. As i know it 's kinda difficult for my case so finally I'm thinking of either joining Califonia or Fitness First despite got that membership issue, yet i dont mind paying a bit more as long as I'm comfortable with the gym facilities. which once is better? as I know the fee would be quite a difference (depends on how you deal with those tricky sales) so you got any advices on that? tks again

I have joined both before & as for the equipments they are almost the same but for some floor area it seems Physical has some big ones. They also both have sauna & steam room also tanning machine. you should also consider locations of different branches so that you don't have to go to the main branch alone but the one's which are closest to you wherever you are at the moment If you feel like going. Cali is more expensive specially if you only go twice a week.

I go to Action Waterfall at the Olympic Station MTR on the Tung Chung Line. $195 p/mth. Great classes(step, boxing, spinning etc)and new. Sauna, standing tanning, yoga, plenty of PTs, golf driving range, tennis, great shower facilities and plenty of food options for refueling after.

have you tried the LCSD fitness rooms in Sha Tin? Check here for the equipment available in each one: Leisure and Cultural Services Department - Registration as a User of Fitness Rooms rate is $180/month unlimited at any of 19 gyms (interchangeable) or $18/hour fairly spartan compared to the big clubs...but they get the job done cheaply Last edited by timklip; 11-06-2008 at 02:08 PM.

I remember a few years ago you could chose a membership at Calfornia where you could either be limited to go during off-peak hours, or limited to 4 days per week. This membership was of course less than a full membership. Don't know if they still offer this. Also try to talk your way out of the sign-up fee.

To timklip : tks for that yet I dont think I will go to 1 of those LCSD gyms. To chimo : yeah, that would probably be the most fit to my case yet I wonder if California could waive the joining fee... To Danielandhayley : Yeah Season is a fabulous gym as I tried before, guess even better after its renovation plus there's an indoor pool as well anyway, tks so much you guys!! |
