has any body been through the step-siblings issue?

my ex's girlfriend is about to move in complete with kids - this will be huge for my kids as they will have to give up space and known boundaries/rules in their dad's house and lose their one to one time with him

any advice on how we best might be able to deal with this or anyone who we could talk to about it?
