The house we bought 8 months ago evidently wasn't prepared properly for the summer rains and we need to re-waterproof a strip across the balcony at the front.
The problem I have is that I don't really know the terminology for the 'bumpy' finish the house has. This makes it difficult calling 'contractors' as this term seems to cover a broad gamut of people who supply nails through to building houses, all compounded by the fact that I only speak a few phrases of Cantonese, most of which would make them hang up in disgust.
So, fellow Sai Kung folk, does anyone know who I can call to ask for a quote to do this small job?

Thanks Thomas- I ended up getting so frustrated with the contractors that came over that I researched the situation and did it myself.

when i read the thread title, my tired brain conjured up an image of you painting some poor builder with some damp proofing sealant or something....
