has anyone been to tibet?

is entering from china on the same visa ok?

i know it's part of china but also an autonomous region like HK SAR
so just wondering if the single entry visa into china is fine.

I understand you need a permit. Check www.lonelyplanet.com or ask China Travel Service.
Tibet is not an SAR like Hong Kong, but it is an Autonomous Region and can make its own laws or vary national ones, but not with the same freedom as Hong Kong. A China visa is valid for Tibet, but only in conjunction with a Tibet permit.
