I am looking for some solid color neck ties - ideally black, blue, purple and red. Anyone know where I can buy some cheaply? I have seen fabric stores and such featured in TV shows - apparently around Sham Shui Po. I was hoping to get some for HK40 - HK80 each or less. Any ideas?

i think they have those in Nathan road mostly those Indian Tailor shops sell them & you wont miss them if you go to ladies night market in Mongkok

I recall they had solid colours on on some street hawkers cart on Nathan and Jordan Road near the corner IIRC. 4 for $100Hk and they are far better than the tailor store ties which look very outdated to me.

There was a cheap vendor in TST in a hall way on Humphrey's with the same nice ties but that business has gone. This was just down from the MTR entrance on the north side of the road near Aberdeen noodles. I think this is the same outfit as they have the same ties and the lady was super nice. I made many referrals to her and often stopped to see her when I was going to the noodle shop for dinner.
