I've brought my 360 over from the UK and am currently looking for a good ISP deal so I can play on Xbox live - already got my gamertag and subscription from back in the UK, I have three questions for you guys

1. Whats the best/cheapest ISP deal to get so i can play on Xbox live and surf the net (not at the same time though)

2. When playing on Xbox live will I connect to servers over here in Asia or Europe?

3. How realistic is it that I'd be able to play against friends from back in the UK on live? Will I lag out a daft amount or is it usually okay?

colt telecoms .uk -> hkbn.net ~ 313ms
newnet.co.uk -> ~ hkbn.net 265 ms

demon.net -> pccw.com.hk ~ 339ms.
colt telecoms .uk -> pccw.com.hk ~ 279ms
newnet.co.uk -> ~ pccw.com.hk 334 ms

demon.net -> hgcbroadband.com ~ 323ms.
colt telecoms .uk -> hgcbroadband.com ~ 265ms
newnet.co.uk -> ~ hgcbroadband.com 222 ms

the lowest avarage but still ways to high for gaming has hgcbroadband from this three isps compared with the service providers in .uk. depending on which isps your friends in the .uk are having, the result may be better or worse.

From the pricing on Netviator and HGC websites HGC seems the best deal by far.
I think i'll give both a call and see which offers the best deal.
Also might give Hong Kong Broadband a try - What are their speeds like connecting with UK servers?

i play all the time with people in the uk never any problems at all

im with pccw the only problem is that the now tv is internet tv so if you have more than one now tv box in your house plus broadband that slows the xbox live down

Josh just out of curiosity what speed internet have you got with PCCW?

I play GTA4 on Live with my friends in Canada, and the lag isn't too bad at all
