Hi there,

i am an expat in HK, myself. Like all others, we tend to get out of HK whenever possible.... with cheap airfares, i had been travelling to Asia quite a fair bit lately. And my recent trip was to this place called Bintan Resorts - Indonesia. Went there via Singapore, cos; Bintan is only abt. 45mins by ferry from Singapore.

Resorts such as club med, banyan tree are all there.... it has got nice beaches, great golf courses..and nice friendly people. It is a nicely developed resort though, no security issue at all.
