Got the minibus from Hang Hau to Sai Kung (101A) the other day and the driver was a gweilo called Kenneth Parker. I was stunned/gobsmacked/mute.

Anyone know his story? Surely he's gotta be unique ... or are there any gweilo tram drivers, bus drivers out there?

Did you ask him? There was a thread here a while back from an aussie who just wanted to come and experience hk but had pretty much no skills - guess most people can drive so makes hence! Almost all the cab drivers in Aussie cities are foreign (and most have no idea where they are going).
But I'd love a minibus driver I could talk to - might find out where the bus stop in Tsuen Wan for the Yuen Long red minibus!!!

I didn't ask him ... I was too busy texting friends to find out if any of them had been in his minibus. He's gotta be a long-term resident coz he wouldn't get a working visa ... it's not like driving a minibus is a skilled profession (though it must take years of practice to develop that hunch and surly manner).

i read about a gweilo beggar months ago, though havent seen him/them.
i once saw a gweilo 5-0 walking the beat, but surely there are more...
