jgl - I wear Florsheims Comfortech and have bought them from Wing On - I'd doubt they're more than $800 as thats when I start cringing.

I stand corrected (har har... shoes, geddit?)- I looked quite some time ago, and ended up with Eccos. Florsheims are cut too high around the ankle for me. And to be honest, they remind me too much of my school days

i do have to agree with Jimbo's statement, seems burds do pay attention to guys shoes.

however someone like KIA doesn't need to worry about that, he gets the women regardless.

however for the rest of us mere mortal men, it is important to dress well for the women.

Thanks for the help, KIA, and my wife also suggested Wing On for quality. Florsheims and Rockports have served me well over the years. Guess I will go check it out on Sunday.

I wear Rockports. They're so comfortable I could literally go for a run in them. The only other dress shoes I'd consider are Eccos, which IMO look a lot more stylish than Rockports. I spent $4000 on a pair of Bruno Maglis once, and man, were they ever uncomfortable.

I'd rather spend $4000 on a pair of shoes and it lasts years barring the occasional re-soleing than spend less and having to ditch them after a year because the stitchings gone etc.
i agree in a sense. and also due to the fact that i do observe people shoes.

(people DO notice the quality of your shoes)
