I just applied for visit visa of my parents at immigration tower (for 6 weeks, they are from pakistan and I work here in HK). They told me that it would take 4-6 weeks. This sounds weird and too long for a visit visa.
they had already booked flights and now i am a bit worried. can anybody share his/her experience on vist visa application for their relatives (as a sponsor in HK). How long does that normally take?
Unfortunately, in most things to do with immigration (worldwide) these days, Pakistan is a bit of a special case. So experience from someone with, say, Filipino parents is unlikely to be relevant.
If your country would stop harbouring terrorists then life would be come somewhat easier for you.
Thanks. That point is quite debatable and I would say that media hype is almost all of the time quite different than the reality. Anyways coming back to the visa point, I will now move the bookings accordingly.
